Chicago has just joined the growing list of cities with urban forestry data available on a user-friendly app called My City’s Trees.  My City’s Trees is a web-based application, developed in partnership with the US Forest Service, Texas A&M University and i-Tree, that allows users to explore urban forest inventory data, including species and size distributions as well as ecosystem services provided.  The data is collected through the Urban Forest Inventory and Analysis (UFIA) program of the US Forest Service and is currently available for nine cities across the US with many more to come.
