While more and more organizations – domestic and international, public and private – are promoting community resilience to lower disaster tolls, transforming this important concept to practice remains a work in progress. Working with public and private stakeholders, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) developed this voluntary Guide as a component of the President‘s Climate Action Plan.
It offers a process for communities to incorporate short- and long-term measures to enhance resilience. This Guide helps connect good ideas and constructive actions for long-term community prosperity.
